Because this new display on the <a href=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/en\/first-page-of-google-and-top-positions-in-search-results\/\">first page of Google<\/a> shakes up the SERP and pushes the natural results down, the very, very low. <\/p>\n<p>This &#8220;service&#8221; is called <em>People also ask<\/em> on google.ca in English and &#8220;Other questions asked&#8221; in French.<br \/>\nIts deployment on Google.ca in French has been effective since November 15, 2017, and you should look to take advantage of this new feature rather than be sorry about it.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><em>People Also Ask<\/em>, the engine answers questions IN the SERP<\/h2>\n<p>The results of the top 10 are not changed, they are &#8220;only&#8221; pushed further down the SERP, this display of &#8220;answers&#8221; interspersed as already do<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Google Map for local queries<\/li>\n<li>Google image for graphical queries<\/li>\n<li>Google shopping, news, people<\/li>\n<li>Youtube for video queries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The only displays that are never affected are <a href=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/en\/google-patner-certified-adwords-specialist-internet-advertising\/\">Google Adwords.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"click through rate\">CTR<\/abbr> of natural results has suffered a significant, not to say drastic, decrease, even on the first three results.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6842\" style=\"width: 848px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6842\" class=\"wp-image-6842 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deboucher-un-evier-ok.jpg\" alt=\"SERP sink\" width=\"838\" height=\"926\" srcset=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deboucher-un-evier-ok.jpg 838w, https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deboucher-un-evier-ok-271x300.jpg 271w, https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deboucher-un-evier-ok-768x849.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 838px) 100vw, 838px\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-6842\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">On display, 4 questions are proposed before the first organic site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The screenshot shows the result zero, then four suggested questions close to the query.<\/p>\n<p>Finally the first natural result (comment-economiser.fr comes below)<\/p>\n<h3>People are asking these questions too&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6850 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/peur-google-ask.jpg\" alt=\"Google Ask also impact\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/peur-google-ask.jpg 300w, https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/peur-google-ask-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/peur-google-ask-80x80.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It seems that &#8220;any&#8221; query (<strong> let&#8217;s<\/strong> say a large number) that starts with who, what, how, why, where triggers the proposal of a response that is displayed as <em>toggles<\/em>. (The <em>toggle<\/em> is a &#8220;drawer&#8221; with content that opens and closes when you click on its title. This is called semi-hidden content)  <\/p>\n<p>A single <em>snippet<\/em> is displayed for the question asked, along with four to five other questions related to the query.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6843\" style=\"width: 340px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deboucher-evire-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6843\" class=\"wp-image-6843 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deboucher-evire-6.jpg\" alt=\"6 open-ended questions\" width=\"330\" height=\"874\" srcset=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deboucher-evire-6.jpg 330w, https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deboucher-evire-6-113x300.jpg 113w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-6843\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">An endless lengthening of questions&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>They appear as clearly visible and easy-to-click suggestions&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Each time you press the title (the question displayed), the <em>toggle<\/em> opens, pushing the natural results a little lower and this at each drawer. and takes the opportunity to add questions as you explore each answer. <\/p>\n<p>In the illustration on the right, I have opened 6 answers.<\/p>\n<p>Not only do the natural results plummet with each opening, but we also see that other questions are added as we read it.<br \/>\nThe first natural result remains hidden underneath (I cut for the image, the Zero result)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Absolutely, I don&#8217;t have to go to a website anymore to get what I&#8217;m looking for!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Three consequences of the presence of these proposals<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>The page gets longer by pushing back the organic results<\/li>\n<li>Less visible, natural results are less consulted. Even the sites in the top 3 since they disappear from the first fold. <\/li>\n<li>By suggesting answers to similar questions,<strong> the engine tends to standardize searches<\/strong> and divert keyboard <strong>query<\/strong> <strong>intent<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Analysis of Google Q results<\/h2>\n<p>I took the time to analyze some articles in &#8220;Other questions asked&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p>On the vague question &#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/search?source=hpei=b2AUWoq2M8rEwAKEiqSwBwq=que+fait+l%27insecte+l%E2%80%99hiveroq=que+fait+l%27insecte+l%E2%80%99hivergs_l=psy-ab.12...2593.14711.0.25786.9.9.0.0.0.0.126.889.5j4.9.0....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..0.0.0....0.nNvhlJiN4R8\">what does the insect do in winter<\/a> &#8221; the winning articles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>are generally long articles \u2013 more than 1000 words;<\/li>\n<li>come from different sites from one question\/answer to another, there is no hegemony, on the contrary the sites are varied;<\/li>\n<li>Have <em>title<\/em>&gt; tags &lt; that are mostly <strong>identical<\/strong> to their H1&gt; tag &lt;(which goes against <em>onpage<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/en\/onpage-optimization-for-better-seo\/\">optimization best practices<\/a>, which aim to place the same paper on multiple variants of key phrases targeted).<\/li>\n<li>display the answer to the question in the meta description;<\/li>\n<li>deal with the subject matter and are very little promotional;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We can see through these few observations that the content that responds and is positioned is not necessarily the most likely to convert (even if through a high level of relevance, the expertise is recognized by the reader).<\/p>\n<p>It seems that these articles have been cut and chiseled to appear in this ranking.<\/p>\n<h2>Suggested questions are more explicit than <em>Google<\/em> <em>suggest<\/em>.<\/h2>\n<p>We know the <em>Suggest<\/em> function of search engines which tends to suggest popular key phrases before you have finished typing your own query on the keyboard.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6845\" style=\"width: 967px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6845\" class=\"wp-image-6845 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/preoccupation-internautes.jpg\" alt=\"Google Suggest\" width=\"957\" height=\"496\" srcset=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/preoccupation-internautes.jpg 957w, https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/preoccupation-internautes-300x155.jpg 300w, https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/preoccupation-internautes-768x398.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 957px) 100vw, 957px\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-6845\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The concerns of Internet users revealed by Google <em>suggest<\/em> are sometimes surprising<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>At the same time, it is true that <strong>voice search<\/strong> tends to lengthen queries and makes it easier to query question.<br \/>\n<em>People Also Ask <\/em>uses this principle of suggesting queries in the form of popular questions.<br \/>\nThese questions are displayed because they are asked by Internet users (keyboard\/mobile\/voice searches combined).
