Some penalize the site in a serious way, others are not really mistakes. Verify that your main pages are accessible to users and do not redirect to a 404 or would be unplanned 301\/302. It seems that one site out of 4 has redirect errors.   <\/p>\n<h3>Broken internal links<\/h3>\n<p>33% of the sites in this super audit are affected in some way<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Temporary redirects<\/li>\n<li>Internal links in <em>nofollow<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Broken external links<\/li>\n<li>External links in nofollow<\/li>\n<li>Excess of external links<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Sitemap.xml<\/h3>\n<p>The heart and soul of your website deserves the best attention.<\/p>\n<p>80% of website owners know this and take it into account. The sitemap.xml guides <em>bots<\/em> through your site and shows them the way to your essential pages. Configure the sitemap.xml correctly and submit it to Google console, Bing <em>webmaster tools<\/em> , and other search engines.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>The problems encountered affect<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Format errors<\/li>\n<li>Page display errors.<\/li>\n<li><em>Sitemap<\/em> not found<\/li>\n<li>Forgotten files<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>txt robots<\/h4>\n<p>Errors in the robots.txt can impact the indexing of the site. Pages in &#8220;noindex&#8221;, which you do not want to be indexed, could be taken into account by <em>crawlers<\/em>. <\/p>\n<h4>Structure des URL<\/h4>\n<p>A good site architecture and clear URLs of reasonable sizes are more meaningful for both bots and users.<\/p>\n<p><em>SEO-friendly<\/em> URLs can have a big impact on user experience and <em>ranking<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><em>Onpage<\/em> Optimization<\/h2>\n<h3>The content<\/h3>\n<p>Website owners believe that not all web portal pages ask\/deserve perfect SEO writing. They often consider this criterion minor. However, constant attention must be paid to it.  <\/p>\n<p>In addition<\/p>\n<p>A text\/code ratio that is too low can be considered as a negative indicator of the quality of the code, while the size of the texts in the top 10 is growing every year and is tending towards 1500 words!<\/p>\n<p>Think about <a href=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/en\/writing-a-text-for-the-web-and-structuring-it-seo\/\">structuring your texts for SEO<\/a> and writing &#8220;search engine oriented&#8221; while respecting the fundamentals of <a href=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/en\/optimizing-your-blog-posts-the-fundamentals-of-2023\/\">web writing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Semrush study notes very high proportions of errors on the<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Duplicate content<\/li>\n<li>Coded Text Ratio<\/li>\n<li>Low content<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Meta description<\/h3>\n<p>Search engines don&#8217;t see this meta as a problem because it&#8217;s not real SEO data. This is why we see many sites displaying banal and poorly worked descriptions. However, it is more efficient to decide for yourself what the meta description returns in the <em>snippet<\/em> rather than leaving this choice free to search engines.  <\/p>\n<h3>Title &lt;tag&gt;<\/h3>\n<p>The study shows that webmasters do not give enough importance to this essential tag. However, it is in control at the moment when the Internet user decides to click on a result of the SERP.<br \/>\n<strong>The nonsense pointed out is  <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Missing tag<\/li>\n<li><em>Title<\/em> too long<\/li>\n<li><em>Duplicate Title<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Title<\/em> too short<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>H1 Tag<\/h3>\n<p>The h1 is an important tag that authors still neglect too much (according to the study), yet it is the one that defines the context of the page.<\/p>\n<p>Here again, too many pages show this type of defect<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No h1<\/li>\n<li>A duplicated h1<\/li>\n<li>Of multiple h1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Image<\/h3>\n<p>Many websites lack images or don&#8217;t optimize them&#8230; Too bad on the impact in google image and the display speed, not to mention the bounce rate caused by an image that doesn&#8217;t display quickly. Think about it or read this article on<a href=\"https:\/\/referencement-pme.ca\/en\/image-optimization-for-seo\/\">image optimization.<\/a>  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Broken image link<\/li>\n<li>Missing the alt attribute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Technical aspects of the site that concern SEO<\/h2>\n<h3>Display speed<\/h3>\n<p>Who wants the Internet user to fall asleep in front of the screen, while your pages load?<\/p>\n<p>If your display speed is not good, you will also lose on the ranking dedicated to mobile devices<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Slow display<\/li>\n<li>Excess code, especially scripting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Outdated technologies<\/h3>\n<p>Engines don&#8217;t like technologies that are obsolete or that haven&#8217;t evolved. This poses problems with indexing, missing or incomplete codes, <\/p>\n<p>Updating your site is essential.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Forget <em>frames<\/em>, flash, and declare your doctype<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Mobile<\/h3>\n<p>Mobile search is exploding, and the study finds that websites have updated and have few problems on this side.
